According to a family friend, Brent first announced he wanted to be a pastor when he was five years old. Today, Brent loves to teach the Bible and also finds it a great privilege to be invited into the “sacred moments” of people’s lives such as conducting weddings, funerals, being there in a time of crisis, or being a part of someone receiving Jesus or being baptized. These are the times when it is such a meaningful experience to be a spiritual shepherd to people. Brent is a huge hockey fan - particularly the Vancouver Canucks. And he will happily meet you anywhere in Maple Ridge if you can tell him where to get the best piece of pie. Brent is married to Lana and they have four grown children.
“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” (II Corinthians 5:14-15)
