This summer Juliana and Manuela Silva, two members of our congregation, traveled to Bolivia to do missionary work.  They were both gone for a total of six weeks.  Juliana travelled with a team of five and was one of the leaders of a team from Trinity Western University to Cochabamba, Bolivia.  Their focus was camp ministry and this is what she had to say about her trip:

“Since I was one of the leaders on this trip and it was a new experience for me, I learned that leadership is hard yet rewarding. It's something I know I can't do on my own but instead, I need God to help me through it. Though I had the opportunity to do a lot while I was there, my favorite thing about Bolivia was the people we got to meet. The people in Bolivia were very hospitable and made us feel at home. They have really touched my heart, and cannot wait until I will see them again...ohh and I got to kiss a llama.”

Manuela traveled to Riberalata, Bolivia to work with the organization Sustainable Bolivia.  Here is what she said about her trip:

“My trip to Riberalta was one of the hardest trips I have been on.  It was very hard to be away from my community and not have a team in Bolivia with me.  However, God provided in more ways than I can count.  I was able to make the most of my time in the orphanage and was a relief worker for the couple that works there full time.  I was able to give them a break to rest and be with each other and with God.  I learned a lot about who God is in the midst of our trials and was reminded to hold onto the truth that His presence is always near me even when I may not feel it.  Thank you Cornerstone church for all your support.”

Thank you for supporting these two young women through your prayers while they were away.  We are happy to have them safely home again.  We look forward to seeing what God has in store for them next
