Jesus Encounter

Have you ever imagined a personal encounter with Jesus?  What would it have been like to talk with Him on the dusty roads of Palestine?  What kind of questions would you have asked Him by the Lake of Galilee?  The Gospel writers have recorded some amazing encounters that various people had with Jesus.  Over the next months we will be exploring these powerful, transformative interactions.  These will be presented by members of our preaching team, or Didaktikon (Greek for "teaching").

From Nicodemus to King Herod, Jesus reached deep into people’s heart with His penetrating truth, power, and compassion.  Interacting with a wide variety of people, Jesus displayed great relational flexibility and sensitivity.  Yes, in many interactions with people, Jesus performed a miracle.  But even in these encounters, the focus was on Jesus Himself.  As we explore these personal interactions with Christ, we will see how each one contributes to our knowledge and appreciation of who He is and what He has done for us.
