Easter Sunday was a great celebration at Cornerstone! We were all blessed with a wonderful breakfast, beautiful floral display, and inspiring music. What a great opportunity it was to gather with our church family and many guests to worship the Lamb of God. It is vital that we allow our hearts to look to “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)
It has been good during this season of Lent to consider the vulnerability and violence which Jesus willingly embraced in order to be the Lamb of God who was slain for our sins. But now, because of His victorious resurrection, He is now the Lamb of God who is glorified and adored. “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” (Revelation 5:12)
So let’s be careful not to pack up Easter in a box and store it away until this time next year. The reality and the resource of Christ’s resurrection is available to us each and every day as followers of Jesus. Let’s be sure to let His resurrection power be active in our lives.
