Disturbia- Uncovering Our Favourite Suburban Idols (Sermon Series)

Some things need to be brought to the surface that we would rather keep hidden.

Sometimes, those things stay hidden because, frankly, everyone is doing it so it just seems natural. 

In suburban culture, there are certain hangups and habits that hold us back from worshipping God. Things like constantly comparing ourselves to others, worshipping our children, workaholism, and valuing safety and comfort as the highest pursuits are idols that lie deep within our hearts. 

Starting on December 31, we are going to kick off a new year by addressing some culturally acceptable sins. We will see that God has so much more for us. 

Jesus promises to give "life to the full" (John 10:10). That is the life we are going to pursue for four weeks at Cornerstone.
