As we enter the fall and draw close to Thanksgiving Day it is tempting to welcome all the warm and cozy bits. Afterall, who doesn’t warm up to a pumpkin spice latte? But are we really thankful? Is there any tangible evidence in our lives as followers of Jesus that we are grateful and appreciative? If we were to take all of the epistles that Paul wrote and put them through a “thanksgiving shaped” sieve, a lot of material would fall through! The letters to the early churches are saturated with examples and exhortations to give thanks. Starting September 20 we are conducting “CSI: Gratitude”. We will explore several epistles to uncover evidence of gratitude which should be present in the believer’s life.
