Join us for a time of training from the Welcome Church Project. We will discuss how Cornerstone can reach out to immigrants and refugees who have made their new home in Canada. At Cornerstone, we want to be equipped to share the love of Jesus and the Good News about Him in a way that is accessible to newcommers to our nation.
The vision of the Welcome Church is to see newcomers welcomed by local churches when they arrive in Canada. Every year hundreds of thousands of immigrants arrive in Canada looking for a place to belong and a new start. Churches have a unique and crucial role to play.
Welcome Church is a network of churches across Canada who have training and are ready to welcome newcomers into their community. We believe that hospitality is an expression of God’s character, an opportunity to show mercy and to be responsible stewards of the many blessings that we share as Canadians.
